But those of us that did have no more answers than anyone else on this front. Some of us, myself included, did back the project. As I said earlier, this subreddit is not run by Sekai Project or Front Wing. And you really won't find a definitive answer on future release dates anywhere on this subreddit. The only thing any of us can do is wait for the Denpasoft releases. Continuing to ask about this will get you nowhere. You can't simply "patch in" the H-scenes. Because there's more than just "removed scenes", there's an air of incompatibility between the mature and the adult versions.
There is absolutely no chance of a patch between two versions of the same game. Here's something you absolutely have to know. On the books, it's a "partner company" that deals in adult versions of titles that have been licensed by Sekai. To note, Denpasoft is, for all intents and purposes, Sekai Project. It's still going to be a while before we see the 18+ version released on Denpasoft's website. Grisaia no Meikyuu has only just been released on Steam. It ended up taking roughly three months (for the Steam version, and August 28 for the 18+ version) for the first title.
With Grisaia no Kajitsu, this did end up taking longer because of a few issues that you can find detailed in the numerous Kickstarter project update posts, posts that are accessible by everyone. When the Kickstarter was still open for backing, the original intention was for the 18+ versions of each game to be released roughly a month after the "all-ages" version of that title was released on Steam. You are playing a Grisaia game, and you are not losing story content by not viewing the H-scenes. Let me dispel the rumors, you are getting the same amount of content. With each Steam version released, I've been seeing posts and comments complaining that they're being charged for less content or that the sex scenes shouldn't have been removed, or similar "arguments". Being intended for mature audiences, there's still obvious references and even mentions of sexual intercourse, just no depictions of it. The reason for this was because of rules put forth by Sony for a game on their systems. However, numerous CGs and scenes, done by the same writers and artists and other Front Wing staff as the 18+ version, were added in place of the cut content so as to not reduce the amount of content within the game. Because it's not the "adult version", the sex scenes were removed. This is the equivalent to an "M" rating by the ESRB - meant for people of ages 17 and older. This version is still designed "for mature audiences". This is commonly referred to as the "all-ages" version. Two years later, on February 21, 2013, the game was re-released for the Play Station Portable. This game is what we know as the "18+ version" of Grisaia no Kajitsu.
The first game was released, as an adult game, for PC on February 25, 2011. In Japan, the Grisaia games have been around for five years. The Differences Between the "All-Ages" and 18+ Versions So the answers I have are the same as what you all have access to. Keep in mind, this subreddit is not controlled by any members of either Front Wing or Sekai Project staff. So I'm gonna give you all some basic details based on what we, as fans, know. I'll be frank, it's getting on my nerves a bit. So each time a Grisaia game gets released in English on Steam, I see people asking question after question on the 18+ versions.
